Lighting, angle, distance, facial expression, and framing can make two photos look different even when your smile has not changed. Similar photos make visual comparisons more useful.

SmileTrack is a private, AI-assisted photo journal for recording visible changes in your smile. This Privacy Policy applies to the SmileTrack iPhone app and this website. By using SmileTrack, you acknowledge the practices described here.
This website is a static information page and does not itself use analytics, advertising trackers, or cookies.
We use this information to create and secure your account, provide photo analysis and visual comparisons, save and display your private scan history, enforce reasonable usage and security limits, respond to support requests, maintain the service, and comply with legal obligations.
SmileTrack uses Firebase services from Google for authentication, database records, file storage, and backend functions. When you request an analysis, the current photo and, when available, a previous comparison photo are sent through the SmileTrack backend to OpenAI for visual analysis. The app’s analysis request is configured so OpenAI API response storage is disabled.
These providers process information on our behalf to operate the app. Their infrastructure may process information in countries other than your own.
We do not sell your personal information. SmileTrack does not use your information for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking. Information is shared only with service providers needed to run the app, when you direct us to share it, or when disclosure is required to comply with law, protect users, or defend the service.
Your account data and saved scans are retained while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can delete individual scans, your full history, or your account from within the app. Account deletion is designed to remove the associated photos, scan records, usage records, and authentication account handled by SmileTrack.
Limited operational records or backup copies may remain for a reasonable period where required for security, service integrity, legal compliance, or the normal backup cycles of our providers. You may also contact us to request help with deletion.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect your information, including authenticated access and user-scoped storage rules. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please use a strong, unique password and protect access to your device and email account.
You can access saved scans in the app, delete scans or account data, sign out, and choose whether to submit a photo for analysis. Depending on where you live, you may also have legal rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of certain personal information. Contact us to make a request.
SmileTrack is not directed to children under 13. If local law requires parental or guardian consent for a minor to use the service, the minor should use SmileTrack only with that consent. If you believe a child provided information without appropriate permission, contact us.
Smile photos and analysis results may be considered sensitive or health-related information. SmileTrack describes visible differences between photographs and does not provide medical or dental advice. Results may be affected by photo conditions and should not be used to make treatment decisions.
We may update this policy as SmileTrack changes. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. If a change is material, we may also provide notice in the app or by another appropriate method.
